This Privacy Policy explains how Metamode Pty Ltd (ACN 644 256 851) as trustee for the Metamode Holdings Trust (ABN 66 422 436 403) (Metamode, we, us or our) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through this website, www.metamode.co, and in the course of providing our services.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. What we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect the details you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number, estimated budget, timeline and project description. Only your name, email address and project description are required.

When you email us, message us on Telegram or book a call, we collect your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. We use this only to run, secure and troubleshoot the website.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we don't build profiles of visitors.

2. How we use it

We use your personal information to:

• reply to your enquiry and talk with you about a potential project;
• send you an automatic confirmation that we received your enquiry;
• provide, manage and invoice our services if you become a client;
• keep the website secure and working properly; and
• meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.

3. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our business. They handle personal information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores our media files, and processes request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
• Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox and sends your confirmation email.
• Google Workspace hosts our email.
• Cal.com handles call bookings if you use the "Book a call" link. Its own privacy policy applies to the details you enter there.
• Telegram handles messages if you use the "Start chat" link. Its own privacy policy applies.

We may also disclose personal information to our professional advisers, or where the law requires or authorises it. We don't sell personal information.

4. Overseas disclosure

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Cookies

The public website doesn't set its own cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse. The content editing area of the site, used only by Metamode staff, uses cookies to keep editors signed in.

6. Storage and security

We keep personal information in our email and business systems, protected by access controls and two-factor authentication where available. We keep enquiries and client records for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing tom@metamode.co. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
